In the heart of downtown Beirut, right opposite the historic Parliament building, stands a transformed office space that seamlessly blends heritage of Beirut's Downtown square with contemporary design. Once the Italian Embassy offices, this space has been reimagined into a modern workspace through the collaborative efforts of architect Roula Bahnam and I.
Roula's reputation speaks volumes. A force in Lebanese architecture, she's known for her razor-sharp precision, subtle elegance, and elevated spatial logic, renowned for her meticulous approach to architecture and design.
Tasked with bringing this vision to life, I executed and oversaw the transformation of the space, ensuring that every detail aligned with Roula's design intent. From the polished cement flooring and custom-crafted wooden furniture to the expansive glass partitions that invite natural light, each element I executed with precision. The office now features a harmonious blend of textures and materials, creating an environment that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing
This project stands as a testament to the power of collaboration, where design vision and meticulous execution come together to create a space that reflects both the rich history of its location and the forward-thinking approach of its creators.
